The week between Palm Sunday & Easter is a pretty big deal in the life of the church. Not just because there are 4 different events/services to fill a schedule, but also because it’s kind of the pinacle of the Christian faith. The three days between Good Friday & Easter Sunday are the mourning & celebration of the death & resurrection of Jesus.
Why is that a big deal? Sin. That’s why. Our sins were nailed to the cross of Jesus and died there with Him. And the story could’ve ended there, but the awesome part is that after a day or two, Jesus rose from the dead & left our sins in the grave. Pretty awesome.
And the best part is this… we now celebrate that resurrection. With a make-shift choir, some fast & loud songs and an extra instrument or two. Oh, and a 60 hour work week.
