Oprah is the richest woman in the world. I’m…. neither of those things. In fact, I’m fairly far from both of those. Now that we have that straight, let’s move on. Oprah has one show every year that every woman in America wants to be at. It’s her “favorites” show. Aside from being unbelievably American in design, it’s just one of many places that Oprah advertises for all of the companies that make things that she can’t live without. Awesome. Over the past few weeks, I’ve come up with a list of things that I can’t live WITH. Here’s that list.
#1, FedEx. To FedEx, insurance is just another way to make some money. They don’t pay out, they don’t refund, they just accept money for a service that does nothing. Oh. And they break your guitar when you ship it, then blame the damage on the packaging (that they supply).
#2, Vchurches. Vchurches is an e-business that specializes in church website hosting and design. They also have a mail server service that boasts at least 96 baud per minute (the post office is much faster). Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Vchurches will be down to upgrade their system. It’s a good thing that churches don’t have anything to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
#3, PayPal. This is an online banking system that accepts payments from many businesses, namely Ebay. Their motto is this: ‘We’ll accept payments, hold your money, and cut 15% off the top when you withdraw it.’
#4, Canadian pharmacies. I don’t know who these people are, but they email me about 200 times a day with huge savings on all sorts of little blue pills. Gross. No thank you, my Canadian friends.
Hope that didn’t put you in a scroogy mood. Just don’t support really bad business. Don’t do it. Don’t. Peace, my friends… and those who stumble upon the bbblog.
