After dieting for three plus weeks, I’ve come to the realization that I’ve been led astray. What I was told as truth was actually a bold-faced lie. The scale that I’ve been using to check my numeretical growth (or loss, as it were) isn’t accurate. Overnight, I’d lost 10 pounds, and the next night, put on 18 pounds. So it was a trip to Walmart for me this morning. I picked up a new scale, some discount DVDs and some odds and ends of money-wasters. The new scale is a no-frills, very modest, extremely run-of-the-mill type. And in no way does the new scale help me lose weight. Except, of course, for the fact that I now know that my weight is true, and that I’m truly losing weight at a normal, non-broken-scale rate. 🙂 Woohoo for discount merchandise from Walmart.
A real scale and a new hope
